Little Golf Trust

The Little Golf Trust is a registered non-profit, registration IT000758/2015(C), Public Benefit Organisation No. 930051388.

In 2022, the Trust became the 22nd international chapter of the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf programme, connecting our girls to a global community that empowers girls through golf.

Objectives

Founded by South African golfing legend Sally Little, the Little Golf Trust creates opportunities for girls from underserved communities in Cape Town through golf, education, and personal development.

Golf provides more than sporting skills. It teaches honesty, integrity, respect, perseverance and self discipline, helping girls build confidence and develop skills they can carry into school, work and everyday life.

The Trust supports learners from Prestwich Primary and Garden Village Primary, with a senior programme supporting girls at St Cyprian’s School. Through coaching, transport, meals, equipment, and educational support, we help girls participate, progress and explore new possibilities.

Sally’s vision extends beyond finding a future champion. It is about helping each girl build a brighter future and, in time, give back to the next generation.

The Programme Begins With

SNAG (Starting New at Golf) introduces beginners to the game through fun, accessible equipment and activities. Endorsed by Sally as an ideal way to learn, it helps our girls build confidence and enjoy their first golfing experiences.

Our School Programmes

The Trust’s work connects three schools through golf, encouragement, and educational opportunity.

Prestwich Primary School

Our original programme began in 2016 and has introduced 46 learners to golf. Today, 10 girls receive regular coaching, transport, meals and encouragement, developing confidence and valuable life skills through the game.

Garden Village Primary School

Introduced in 2025, the programme supports five girls through weekly coaching at the Sally Little Centre for Excellence. In 2027, the Trust’s support will extend to school fees, uniforms, books and stationery, helping these learners progress both on the course and in the classroom.

St Cyprian’s Senior Girls Programme

Two girls continue their journey at St Cyprian’s through educational and boarding support made possible by the school, sponsors and the Trust. Regular coaching at Metropolitan Golf Club and arranged transport help them develop their golf alongside their education.

Inspire a Girl

Share your time, experience or connections. Join a lesson, share your story, offer guidance or open your workplace to help our girls discover new possibilities. No golf expertise is required.

Open the Fairway

Help make a girl’s regular golf lessons possible by contributing towards professional coaching, safe transport and a nutritious meal. Give individually or together with friends or colleagues, helping our girls learn, build confidence and grow through the game.
